Why decomposition

PNG supports pixels, not an editable layer history

A PNG can preserve transparency, but it does not contain the original document structure. No converter can recover a lost authoring history simply by changing the extension.

A format converter only changes the container around one flat image. Image decomposition instead returns separate visual passes that can be edited independently. Output structure and quality vary by image.

Workflow

From one image to separate visual passes

01

Upload

Choose one PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 10 MiB and 16,777,216 pixels. The browser validates it before upload.

02

Process

Seedream v5 Pro uses a 17-credit low-resolution or 34-credit high-resolution reserve, then settles against actual total layers including the background.

03

Review

When an approved backend result is ready, inspect the available passes and download formats before continuing your edit.

Honest limits

Review each result before production use

Transparency can help identify boundaries, but it does not guarantee useful separation. Generated passes may contain edge artifacts and do not recreate vectors or text layers.
